My Life

As a female sports attorney, wife of a former NFL player, mother of two bi-racial sons and the daughter of an enterprising business couple, I’ve been fortunate to experience a diverse and often unpredictable lifestyle filled with meeting amazing people from different walks of life all around the globe. I’ve become familiar with those who came from modest beginnings, who worked their entire lives to achieve greatness and succeeded, as well as those who have devoted their entire lives to helping others find answers and peace, such as Dr. Bennet Omalu who discovered CTE in former football players.

I have a genuine love for people and feel everyone has a purpose in life, a story to tell, and a legacy to leave behind. My strength is sticking to what I believe in, sometimes to a fault. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been told I was too stubborn, naïve and idealistic. And yes, I have to admit I was! That is until I started my journey as a woman, navigating the legal field, living on my own in New York City and deciding what type of person and lawyer I wanted to be. It wasn’t always easy, but I managed to stay in the game by trusting my instincts, focusing on winning the battle not the war, and most of all, not taking things too personally.

I’ve taught my two boys since they were old enough to speak, that no matter how difficult or impossible a situation may seem, there is always a solution…perhaps not the perfect solution, but always some method to make things a little better. So, never throw in the towel… never let fear drive decisions… and never let your emotions get the best of you.

I feel extremely blessed to be alive in this lifetime and contributing to humanity in some small way. I am devoted to my family, to former football players who are struggling with injury, and to children and teens who were forced to grow up too fast. I believe like-minded individuals are brought together for a purpose. I am thankful to those who paved the way for myself and others and will continue to strive to improve the lives of those who need it most.
